Upon entering Kyushu University of Health and Welfare (now Kyushu University of Medical Science), he was introduced to Kai Kuniyuki and became a dojo student.

Received the title of Nidaime Kancho of Traditional Budo Tendokan (formerly Nihon Budoin Seibukan)
