Born in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture, he began studying karatedo at the age of 13.
April 1962
He is a pioneer who formed the Nobeoka City Karatedo Federation and laid the foundation for the development of karatedo in this city.
January 1967
Founded Nihon Budoin Seibukan Dojo (Shodai Kancho)
November 1987
Received the Nobeoka City Cultural Merit Award (from Nobeoka City Mayor and Nobeoka City Commissioner of Education).
March 1994
Received certification as an Intangible Cultural Asset Holder of Nobeoka City Traditional Martial Arts (certified by Nobeoka City Mayor).
May 2002
Succeeded as the Dai Nijuichidai (21st) Soke from Kaminaga Shigemi, the Dai Nijudai (20th) Soke of Bokuden-ryu Jujutsu Koshinomawari Iai Heiho.
March 2007
Received the Martial Arts Merit Award (Miyazaki Prefecture Governor’s Commendation) at the 25th Anniversary Nobeoka City Martial Arts Festival.
November 2009
Certified as Hanshi Judan (10th Dan) by the Okinawa Karatedo Federation.
November 2010
Received the Miyazaki Prefecture Cultural Award (from the Governor of Miyazaki Prefecture).
March 2015
Published the book “Bokuden-ryu Jujutsu Heiden Koshinomawari Iai Heiho.”
August 2018
Designated dojo student Tomonari Nakasone as the Nidaime Kancho of Seibukan. (Dojo name also changed to Dento Budo Tendokan)
July 2023
Laid to eternal rest in Nobeoka City.
