『Toon-ryu Karatedo』 「Ne-pai」

This is a video of karatedo’s kata training and practice outdoors.
The name of the kata is 「Ne-pai」 from the 『Tōon-ryū Karatedō』style.
The defining feature of 「Ne-pai」 is a series of varied offensive and defensive movements performed in a single fluid motion while moving vigorously back and forth. Additionally, when opening both hands while balancing on the left foot, practitioners emit a “kiai” that resembles the cry of a crane.
I strongly believe that I will continue to train and practice in various situations and environments—whether outdoors or indoors, wearing shoes or barefoot, and whether in a karate gi or casual clothes—and remain mindful of 「moving naturally」.
